ANNA LA FOUNTAIN

Anna serves as Founder and President of the Board

After graduating from Vermont College in 2006, Anna taught fourth grade before returning to Michigan to support the efforts to reestablish Detroit’s economy.  After the loss of her daughter, Scarlette Rose, in September of 2008, Anna’s focus shifted to include the foundation of Angel Kisses. As an education major and a psychology minor, it has become important goals of Anna’s to ensure that the public is made aware of the devastation of losing a child and assisting endeavors that support families.

The Child Remembered Program at Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak, MI holds a special place for Anna.  Her grieving and healing process simultaneously began in the hospital on the day that Scarlette was born and she is grateful to all of the staff that helped to make her journey less difficult.

Anna’s inspiration comes from her daughter, Scarlette, and from all of the other families who have supported Angel Kisses in memory of their precious babies.

DAWN LYMAN

Dawn serves as Vice President and Secretary of the Board

Dawn became involved in Angel Kisses after her sons, Cole and Dillen, died shortly after their births at 21-1/2 weeks gestation.  She was a support member of the team that planned the 2010 fundraiser and is now a board member and planner for the 2011 event.

Dawn’s partner of over 10 years, Theresa, was diagnosed with cancer just 10 months after the pair lost their boys.  This battle gave her new insight into the importance of one-on-one support from people who have “been there.”  Starting an Angel Kisses peer support program has become a great passion for Dawn.

Dawn brings 15 years of marketing expertise to the group, currently working for Barton Malow Company as a marketing manager.

LEAH MONTEITH

Leah serves as Treasurer of the Board

Leah joined Angel Kisses in time for the 2nd Annual Fundraiser in memory of her first baby, Mara Louise, who was stillborn at 38 weeks in February 2009.  She was excited to find an organization to use some of her energy in a positive way and help other families who have to face a similar tragedy.  Leah brings 6 years of Supply Chain Management experience to the group.

Leah was born and raised in Dexter, MI.  She and her husband now live in Royal Oak with their son Owen and two Cavalier Spaniels.  She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Supply Chain Management.  She currently has her hands full with a lively little boy whom she is blessed to be able to stay home with.

AMY ALLEN

Amy serves as Co-Founder and Public Relations Coordinator.

Amy has been involved with Angel Kisses since its inception in 2009. Initially contacted by founder, Anna LaFountain, simply to be a donor for the first fundraiser, Amy felt it was a great way to honor the angel baby she lost in 2008 and jumped in with both feet.

Amy’s background includes a BBA in Marketing from EMU, as well as several years of corporate experience doing marketing, PR and event planning.

Today Amy is a stay-at-home-Mom to two children with a rainbow baby on the way. She also runs her own art business, making letters and other decorations for babies and kids’ rooms.

TRACY ROBERTS

Tracy serves as Co-Founder and Fundraising Coordinator

Tracy has been involved with Angel Kisses since its beginning in January, 2009. Tracy met Anna during the “Looking Ahead” support group at Royal Oak Beaumont and was excited to honor her boys, Tristen and Theodore whom she lost in 2008.

Tracy’s background includes a fantastic husband of 10+ years , Daughter, Teagan, rainbow baby Aiken, and a Master’s Degree from Northern Michigan University in Special Education. She currently teaches middle school. In her free-time, she loves camping, hiking, spending time with her family, and knitting.
