About Us

Angel Kisses was formed in 2009 in honor of Scarlette Rose, who was stillborn at nineteen weeks gestation on September 23, 2008. Her mother, Anna La Fountain, cradled Scarlette in her arms and promised that in spite of how short her precious life was, it would make the world a better place.

Just a few months after losing Scarlette, Anna decided to have a fundraiser in honor of her daughter to benefit A Child Remembered Program at William Beaumont Hospital.  It was because of this vital program – the services and support they offered during her fragile state – that Anna’s healing process began.

What started as a small concept quickly grew as others became involved and pledged support. Amy Allen, mom to angel Isabella Jean, and Tracy Roberts, mom to twin angels Tristen Jeffrey and Theodore Holden, helped organize the successful February 2009 event.  After only six weeks of planning, the inaugural fundraiser brought in $5,800 for A Child Remembered!

Not long after the 2009 fundraiser, Angel Kisses welcomed Leah Monteith, mom to angel Mara Louise, and Dawn Lyman, mom to twin angels Cole Robert and Dillen Andrew, to the team. The group set lofty goals for the 2010 event – to raise $13,000 and fund the creation of a bereavement room on the labor and delivery floor at Beaumont.  On February 27, 2010, overwhelming support turned out and the second annual Angel Kisses fundraiser raised over $17,000!

The bereavement room at Beaumont is now a reality.  It is a wonderful achievement for Angel Kisses, a proud tribute to the many angel babies that spurred such incredible support, and an inspiration for the group to do even more!  Angel Kisses continues to grow, with Jennifer Tesch now on board as a lead planner for the 2011 event, and its vision continues to flourish with fresh ideas and exciting goals for the future.

With the Third Annual Angel Kisses Fundraiser now a part of the story of our success, having raised over $19,000 to continue to support A Child Remembered Program, we plan to continue the success of the year!  Please check back often to see what we’re doing to raise awareness and to provide support to families who have experienced a loss.

For six special moms – Anna, Tracy, Amy, Leah, Dawn and Jennifer – Angel Kisses has been an endless source of friendship, support and healing. It is with sincere gratitude that this tight knit group strives to make the path of those who walk behind them just a little less difficult.
